Reflecting on 2022 and Looking Forward to 2023

How do you feel when you wrap up another year? Do you feel accomplished? Overwhelmed? Relieved? All of the above? As we come to the end of another year, our team is taking time to reflect on our growth and success from the past year. Not only are we reflecting on 2022, but we are optimistic when looking forward to 2023 and the numerous opportunities on the horizon.

Our team of two grew by one in 2022.

We take pride in having a lean operation that covers Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan - but we knew it was time to add a strategic employee to our team. After years of freelancing for ICS Group as a Marketing and Graphic Design Consultant, Kate Guth joined the team full-time in April. Since we had a long relationship with Kate, we knew she would be a great addition to our company and would fit the culture like a glove. Although Kate did not have wastewater training, she jumped into the industry head-first absorbing as much information as she could. The ICS Group now has a user-friendly website, strong social media presence, monthly webinars and trainings, and our team actively participates in industry meetings and events. Our momentum is growing with the addition of Kate as our Business Development Manager.

It is also a time to reflect on our long-standing relationships with our manufacturing partners.

Our company relies on strong, reliable, and beneficial partnerships to provide value to our engineers, municipal and industrial customers. We would like to acknowledge all of our respected wastewater manufacturers.

Thank you to Amiad Water Systems, BioLargo, DERAGGER, Fluidyne Corporation, Lemna Environmental Technologies (LET), Nexom, Nuove Energie, P-TEC Daf Systems, Pulsair, Process Wastewater Technologies (PWTech), Shincci USA, SPIRAC, and Zima Corp (Kusters) for your continued support, dedication, and assistance in securing projects throughout our region. The ICS Group focuses on innovative, cost-effective technology solutions for our customers and our manufacturing partners encompass those same values. There are several large projects in progress, and we look forward to watching the installations in the coming year.

We would like to thank all of the municipal and industrial clients who showed interest in our products, hosted pilots and allowed guests to tour their facilities.

At the end of the day, we know that our customers have the power to choose who they work with, the technology they select, and the relationships they build. We are thankful for the strong relationships we have created with engineers, wastewater treatment plant operators and industrial customers over the years. In 2022, we had great success with piloting the Process Wastewater Technologies (PWTech) Volute Dewatering Press and Nuove Energie UltraScreen at various municipal and industrial locations.

The Marinette Wastewater Treatment Plant was gracious to host numerous tours of their facility throughout the year and shared the benefits of the PWTech Volute Dewatering Press and Shincci Sludge Dehumidifier as they relate to their biosolids management program. We are forever grateful to Warren Howard and the team at Marinette for their hospitality and eagerness to share their success story.

In our continued growth, this year we added three additional wastewater technology lines.

As technology advances, facilities experience influent water challenges, effluent regulations are updated, and needs arise in the industry - it is increasingly important for representatives to continuously research new technology. In 2022 we signed contracts with Gummi-Jaeger Aeration, Moleaer Inc., and SPIRAC. Each of these partners offer unique, inventive and economical equipment to solve problems for wastewater treatment plants.

Gummi-Jaeger Aeration offers advanced aeration solutions with OxyStrip Diffusers, Oxylift Design (retrievable diffusor racks), and Dual-Air-Control Design that provides up to 40% power savings.

Moleaer features a patented technology which injects trillions of nano-sized gas bubbles into liquid to deliver best-in-class gas-to-liquid transfer. Nanobubbles are non-buoyant and electrochemically active, and they produce oxidants and reduce surface tension. These characteristics enable nanobubbles to replace inefficient, energy-intensive gas transfer equipment and harmful chemical oxidants and surfactants with a single, energy-efficient, chemical-free solution. Moleaer's nanobubble technology increases productivity across a wide range of industrial and commercial processes.

Spirac is a premier solids-handling solution company. Offering solutions in municipal and industrial applications, Spirac's offerings include sludge storage, conveyors, truck receival and out-loading solutions with live bottoms or sliding frames, as well as rectangular and round silos systems and truck receival bunkers.

Our growth in 2022 has been monumental and is setting the tone for 2023. We are thankful for the opportunity to work with our municipal and industrial customers, engineers, state organizations, and further our reach as a premier manufacturer's representative in the Midwest. Wishing you all Happy Holidays and cheers to a wonderful New Year!
